The State of The Art, since 1682

For the 2016's edition of the annual open day of Royal Academy of Art The Hague (KABK) Studio Lennarts&DeBruijn and me created a campaign based around the concept of KABK being an open community and praising its international character. That’s why we called it 'The State of The Art'.

The name 'The State of The Art' was a little bit of wordplay, but also to raise the question if a state can still exist in this day and age. Just think about it: what are (geographical) boundaries actually and where do they begin and end? What do these boundaries do to nationality or feelings of localism?

SPECIFICATIONS
The identity was implemented in various formats, including a website, catalog, posters, and giveaway bags and sweaters for teachers and students. In addition, informative materials for the exhibition were designed, including signage, project tags, floor plans, and banners. Furthermore, all rooms in the school were replaced with a 360-degree camera to create a comprehensive view of the KABK.
