Studio Tomas Laar believes that design is not just about aesthetics, but also about learning, understanding, and joy. My ideas are content-driven and shaped by my extensive experience in the field. 
         As a freelance creative agency, I strive to approach each question in a unique way, tailored to the client's specific needs. Each project, whether it is a book design, an identity, a campaign, an exhibition, a mural or an installation, grows from a process of conceptually rigorous research, paying close attention to both the formal properties and the contextual framework in which the project participates.

Background info

Graduated with a BA in graphic design (2015, KABK). As a freelancer I worked with, among others: Adrian Bridget, Bart de Baets, Funk-e, Garage Rotterdam, KABK The Hague, Rotterdam Electronix, Noise Magazine, Studio Adriaan Melleger, Sandra Kassenaar, Studio Lennarts&deBruijn and Skatestore.nl. I also have 9+ years of agency experience, working at Ontwerpwerk in The Hague (1.5 years), Enchilada (2 years) and Pony Design Club (5.5 years) in Rotterdam.

My work has been published on various forums, including; Sketched out (Hong Kong, HKG), Slanted Magazine (Karlsruhe, DE), Algemene Beschouwingen (NL), Stay sane, stay safe (NL), It’s Nice That (London, UK), People of Print (London, UK), raumplan.info (IT), Weltformat 16 (Lucerne, CH) and Wallpaper Magazine (London, UK)
